Network Blue Student Program

The last week of Term 1 saw the Year 9 Horticulture class participate in a series of hands on workshop with AusOcean as part of the Network Blue Student Program. Students developed their skills in a range of areas inclusive of soldering, metal work and electronics. The rig is nearly finished, with only a few minor adjustments to be completed. This was a great opportunity for students to network with the AusOcean team along with the community of Whyalla. During the week, we engaged with Teresa from the Whyalla Visitor Centre and Tony from the Whyalla Dive Shop. This was a chance for them to share their knowledge and passion for the Cuttlefish in Whyalla. Our rig should be deployed sometime in July, so keep an eye out for that exciting time.
