WHS Celebration Morning Tea

On Friday 25 June we held our first Historical Celebration event for the Whyalla High School Community.

We had a wonderful turnout of past and present students from each decade, including 6 students from the 1940’s.  It was enjoyable to talk to past scholars, listening to their remarkable stories and endearing memories.  They reflected on their time at Whyalla High School and you could see the overwhelming sense of pride in attending our wonderful school.

The historical displays gave opportunity for past scholars to find their names on memorabilia and photos of themselves and a  lot of laughs could be heard.  This was an excellent opportunity for our current students to learn about our past and to reflect on what it means to be a proud Whyalla High School member.
