Check out Miss Maple’s ‘Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs’ Morning Tea. Students were inspired to promote the importance of technology and to thank Whyalla High School staff for providing efficient online learning at the end of Term 1/ start of Term 2.
Prior to the staff arrival, students considered issues related to the development of their menu and food for service, justification of decisions, and identification and allocation of tasks within their group.
All students thoroughly considered staff dietary requirements, including Vegan, Vegetarian, Lactose and Gluten intolerant.
Students produced exceptional artwork for the invitations, place cards, table settings and incorporating the themes into each dish served.
Students demonstrated excellent Mis en Place, safety and hygiene, time management, organisational skills and practical skills.
This experience provided students with the opportunity to effectively plan and problem-solve and to develop individual leadership and culinary skills. Furthermore, preparing students for Year 10 Food Technology, VET and potential career pathways.
